1999-2019 International Arts Projects
The name TCG Nordica is an abbreviation of “Tomas Tranströmer Culture Gallery Nordica”. It refers to a great Swedish poet and Nobel Prize winner in literature. It is the one and only international art center that is named after Tomas Tranströmer.
TCG Nordica was established in 1999. The contemporary arts became the hemisphere where it stands. The Arts at TCG Nordica includes visual art, music, dance, literature, and theater.
Since TCG Nordica was started, countless of international exchange projects have occurred, such as The Nordic Chinese Poetry Festival (2004), the Scandinavian Jazz Music Week in Kunming (2005), the Kalmar City Art Festival in Sweden (2008) etc. All these projects were facilitated by TCG Nordica and have bonded nations, cities, communities, artists and individuals together.
Based on the vision “Stimulating reflection on human worth as expressed in various art forms” TCG Nordica’s gallery hold ten exhibitions yearly, different kinds of stage performances weekly, and two international Arts’ exchange projects every year.
All in all, TCG Nordica reveals a deep level of arts by not only looking at the dazzling outer shell, but also penetrating it, reaching that which lays behind it. For us, the expression of culture and arts are a fulcrum, on which any “heart-resourced” artwork can shake the world, knock on the souls and even change history!
